FAQS

Beginning something new can bring up practical questions as well as uncertainty. These answers will give you a sense of how the program works, but every participant begins with a complimentary Discovery Call so that we can talk about your goals, answer your individual questions, and make sure the group feels like a good fit.

  • This program is for people who want to eat more whole plant foods and create healthier, more sustainable habits without feeling overwhelmed. You may be completely new to plant-based eating, already eating mostly plant-based, or simply looking for more structure, support, and practical ideas.

PlantJoyful is especially well suited for people who want to support their gut health, simplify meals, build confidence in the kitchen, and make changes through small, steady steps rather than rigid rules or perfection.

  • No. You do not need to identify as vegan or follow a fully plant-based diet to participate.

The program focuses on helping you add more nourishing whole plant foods to your life. You are welcome wherever you are starting, and you will be encouraged to make choices that feel realistic and sustainable for you.

  • You are very welcome.

This is not an all-or-nothing program, and no one will be judged for what they currently eat. Our time together will focus on expanding your use of vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, and other whole plant foods.

Some participants may choose to become fully plant-based, while others may simply want plants to make up a much larger part of their meals.

  • Absolutely! The program is designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering plenty of value for people who already have some experience with plant-based eating.

We begin with foundational ideas and build gradually. You will receive practical guidance, simple meal ideas, worksheets, and plenty of encouragement along the way. You do not need special cooking skills or extensive nutrition knowledge before joining.

  • Life happens, and I understand that you may occasionally need to miss a session.

Please let me know in advance whenever possible. I will help you identify the most important material and next steps so that you can stay connected with the group and continue moving forward. Handouts, worksheets, and other class resources will also help you follow along.

You will receive the most benefit from attending consistently, but missing one session does not mean you cannot continue successfully.

  • Groups are intentionally kept small so that everyone has opportunities to ask questions, participate in conversations, and receive personal support.

Each group is limited to approximately 6–10 participants.

That range feels large enough to create community but small enough to preserve the personal coaching experience.

  • Please share any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary needs with me during your initial Discovery Call.

Many of the ideas and recipes can be adapted, and I will do my best to offer practical alternatives. Because everyone’s medical and nutritional needs are different, the program is educational and supportive, but it is not a substitute for individualized medical care or medical nutrition therapy.

Participants with significant allergies or health concerns should also continue working with their physician or registered dietitian.
